Is your wish to do something to make a difference in the world but not sure how? Would you give someone the gift of health today if you could? Give the gift of health today.
Healthcare in Africa is not only limited but in many areas, non-existent. Many people suffer from diseases that can be easily eliminated or lessened simply through proper health education and basic medical care. FOA is committed to going to the far reaches of Africa to raise awareness about pertinent health issues, to teach about preventive measures, to treat one patient at a time and to equip local clinics and health professionals with needed medical supplies.

Who We Are
FOA is a coalition of individuals and organizations with the common goal of making a positive difference in the lives of people in Africa. Partners of FOA come from all walks of life ranging from home-makers, doctors, nurses, accountants, engineers, teachers, and students, but all share the common goal of giving the gift of health.
The mission of FOA is to provide a partnering platform in mobilizing medical personnel, equipment, and supplies; and conducting health outreaches to African countries.
Vision
The vision of FOA is to significantly reduce the incidence of preventable diseases in Africa through health education campaigns and provision of medicine and equipment for treatment of basic ailments. FOA envisions sending medical personnel and needed medical equipment to Africa on a yearly basis, working with local health workers and institutions to raise awareness on diseases and establishing free clinics.

Kampala 2009
In September 2009, FOA in partnership with WEHHS will send a medical team to Kampala, Uganda for a one week medical outreach. The medical team from the US will team up with local doctors and other health workers from the Full Gospel Church, Makerere, to attend to the medical needs of a projected 1,000 members of the surrounding communities. This outreach will serve as a feasibility study for the long term goal of establishing a clinic and micro-lab in Kampala, Uganda. It is anticipated that in addition to providing basic first aid and preliminary consultation for general healthcare needs, the clinic will have special facilities for children with Sickle Cell disease. This project is at the planning stage and more information will be provided as progress is made.
Cameroon 2009
In October 2009, FOA is again partnering with CYJ to organize another health outreach at the coastal city of Kribi in Cameroon. Several local health workers and community organizations have signed-on to the outreach and preparations are currently underway to launch the campaign in October 2009.
